Star Wars 9 Rise of Skywalker tickets presale date and run time REVEALED?

In just over two months time Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas. While we’re still waiting for that final trailer and hopefully a proper look at Palpatine’s return, the film’s tickets presale date and run time may have been revealed – but do take the information with a pinch of salt since it’s not confirmed yet. DR Movie News reports: “BREAKING: Theaters nationwide are receiving a ‘TENTATIVE’ run-time of 2 hours & 35 minutes for #StarWars ‘The Rise of Skywalker’.” Considering The Last Jedi was 2 hours and 32 minutes, that sounds about right.

They added: “Which means that a ticket drop date is imminent (most likely Monday, October 21st).”

Meanwhile, it was rumoured the final The Rise of Skywalker trailer would drop on that date, but now it looks very likely to be tomorrow.

The leak came from John Boyega’s agent, who posted Monday 14th as the trailer release date.

Femi Oguns posted a picture of the Star Wars leads with the ESPN Monday Night Football logo.

He wrote: “The next @starwarsmovies trailer out Monday. It’s official.”

Interestingly, the post hasn’t been taken down, but then again Disney probably wouldn’t want to draw too much attention to it.

A recent new fan theory argues that Rey’s parents are Luke Skywalker and Palpatine’s daughter.

Reddit user james27503 wrote: “I think we will find out that somehow Luke got up with Palps daughter.

“They both understand what it is like to be the child of a Sith Lord. Rey is the offspring of Luke and Palpatine’s daughter to be named.

“Luke worried that the Emperor’s spirit or maybe himself or whatever is coming for her, does the only thing he knows to do, hides her away, and removes himself from the Force as not to be used as a method to get to her.”

They added: “Later on during their training, her combined power of both Skywalker and Palpatine blood scares him. Her tendencies to go right to the dark scares him.

“Rey will find out her Palp heritage after her confrontation with Ben.

“She will not know about her Skywalker heritage yet. This is when she goes to Ahch-to.

“Luke reveals to her on Ahch-to it is true that you are the granddaughter of Palp, BUT….. you are also my daughter and a Skywalker.”
