Terminator: Dark Fate has impressed fans and critics since its release in the UK. The movie reunites Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Sarah Connor and T-800, the original Terminator. But is there more for fans to feast on after the credits roll on Terminator: Dark Fate?

Is there a post-credit scene in Terminator: Dark Fate?

Tim Miller, the director of Terminator: Dark Fate, certainly has form in producing movies with after credit scenes.

The director made his feature-film debut directing Deadpool, the Fox-made Marvel movie which has multiple scenes strewn throughout the credits.

The movie even has a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off moment with Deadpool sporting some gorgeous PJs.

But while this may be something Miller was happy to do for Marvel, it does not seem to be a priority for him for other movies, as there is no end credits scene for Terminator: Dark Fate.

Speaking to Fandango on whether there was a reason for fans to stay, Miller said: “I love it, [end credits scenes] but I think it’s a uniquely Marvel thing. So, no.”

Well, that makes things pretty clear.

However, some fans have suggested the ending of Terminator: Dark Fate is certainly not a closed book – and could even lend itself to a sequel.

What is Terminator: Dark Fate about?

The official synopsis from Paramount Pictures reads: “More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator – a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) – travels back through time to hunt and kill her.

“Dani’s survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton).

“As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Sarah’s past that may be their last best hope.”

The movie will see Linda Hamilton and Arnie reunite for the first time since Terminator 2: Judgement Day, which was released in 1991.

Though Hamilton has voiced her character, Sarah Connor, in other Terminator movies and video games, she has not returned to the screen with the real Terminator since that film.

Arnie, meanwhile, has appeared in most of the Terminator films, other than Terminator Salvation, which starred Christian Bale.

Edward Furlong, who played John Connor, has also returned to the fold, bringing the family back together for the first time in 18 years.
