Frozen 2 after credits: Is there a post credits scene in Frozen 2? End credits explained
Frozen 2 is the cinematic event of the Christmas season for young Disney fans. The first film saw Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) trap her kingdom in eternal winter, while her sister Anna (Kristen Bell) helped to bring her back home. Now the second Frozen movie is arriving and fans are absolutely ecstatic.
Is there a post credits scene in Frozen 2?
Fans have salivated over the various offerings from Disney since Frozen arrived in 2013.
After Frozen screened and sent children wild in excitement, Disney have kept fans keen with the release of short films.
In 2015 Frozen Fever was released, the first short film, before Olaf’s Frozen Adventure was released in 2017, both alongside Pixar and Disney movies.
Clearly, Disney knows fans want more and more of Frozen, so many children will likely be asking whether they need to sit through the credits for any reason.
The answer is yes, there is a scene in the credits which is absolutely worth seeing, so fans should definitely stick around to see it.
What is in the post credits scene in Frozen 2?
***Mild Frozen 2 spoilers***
The end credits scene is a continuation of a scene in the movie itself, featuring Olaf the snowman (Josh Gad.)
In the scene, Olaf is describing some of the events from the first film.
Following this, in the post credits scene, Olaf chats with more of his living snowmen chums and tells them further stories.
The sketch is fun and jovial, possibly pointing towards another instalment of Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, though this has not been confirmed by Disney.
The film itself is full of laughs amidst the tense drama, thanks to Olaf, so the post credit scene will certainly bring more of that to fans.
Whether it will lead on to a third Frozen movie, however, is yet to be seen.
Trailers reveal that when the weather becomes so dangerous the inhabitants of Arendelle are forced to go north, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven go on a journey to follow voices who have been calling Elsa.
They part through the “mist” to find an enchanted forest which they have only heard in legend from their mother and father.
The movie is a U certificate, similarly to the first movie, meaning it is suitable for all children, though parents who are concerned about their children should consider reading BBFC guidelines.
Frozen 2 is in cinemas from November 22
