Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: Mark Hamill sparks frenzy in HUGE Stormtrooper revelation
Star Wars fans are chomping at the bit to get stuck into the final instalment of the Skywalker saga tomorrow, with many already having secured their tickets to midnight screenings to catch it first. The Rise of Skywalker had its world premiere in Los Angeles earlier this week, with the likes of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and more all in attendance for the star-studded event. Ahead of debut screening, Luke Skywalker favourite Hamill took to Twitter to tease an intriguing fact about the upcoming Episode IX.
Since The Force Awakens, it’s been customary for Star Wars to feature huge stars in cameos as Stormtroopers.
The first of the sequel trilogy saw James Bond actor Daniel Craig in a small speaking part as one of the Empire’s soldiers, while Tom Hardy bagged a similarly minor role in The Last Jedi.
If that wasn’t enough, The Last Jedi also introduced a touch of royalty, with Prince William and Prince Harry appearing as Stormtroopers too.
Fans will be eager to find out any A-list cameos in The Rise of Skywalker as the release creeps closer, hour by hour, and it looks as though Hamill might have revealed who’s stepped into the suit this time around.

Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: Mark Hamill hinted Harry Styles has a cameo as a Stormtrooper
Taking to Twitter, he said: “Tonight #TheRiseOf Skywalker premiere finally brings closure to my dysfunctional family!
“Wonder who’ll be the #SecretStormtrooper in this one?” the Star Wars stalwart teased.
“Considering they’ve all been UK Superstars (2 royals + 2 Actors) but still no singer, all the clues point in one direction: #Stylestrooper.”
Hamill also shared a series of four seemingly photoshopped pictures, one which showed Princes Harry and William as Stormtroopers, another of Craig, a third of Hardy and a fourth which appeared to mock up former One Direction star Styles.

The popstar has yet to comment on the possibility of a cameo in the new Star Wars.
Styles and Star Wars fans alike (and those who fit into both categories simultaneously) have flocked to social media to share their excitement, with rumours of the potential cameo spreading fast.
“Please let this be true! My worlds need to collide,” one tweeted, while another added: “Please tell me this is true. However I do not think I’ll be able to survive.”
“Stop it! This is epic!” a third gushes, as a fourth simply wrote: “Can’t wait for #Stylestrooper.”

While there’s no official confirmation of Stylestrooper being a real thing, Hamill’s hint lines up with the relatively new tradition of celebrity Stormtroopers cameos.
Earlier this year, reports emerged Ed Sheeran had snagged a role as a Stormtrooper in The Rise of Skywalker.
Yesterday, the first reactions to the final film in the Skywalker landed online.
Keeping things spoiler free, film critics used Twitter to share their thoughts on The Rise of Skywalker, with creative director of Nerdist Dan Casey saying: “All I can say is ‘wow.’ #StarWars #TheRiseofSkywalker is many things: horrifying, hopeful, violent, lowkey horny, and full of the right kind of fan service.
“But most of all, it’s a fitting ending for this incredible, 40+ year-long saga,” he added.
Slashfilm founder Peter Sciretta agreed, saying director JJ Abrams “nailed it”.
“He was able to bring a cohesive arc to this trilogy that feels like a fitting end to the saga as a whole,” he tweeted. “I’m so emotionally drained. Star Wars fans will be very happy.”
Not everyone was pleased with the movie, however, with Cinemablend’s senior film critic Eric Eisenberg criticising: “There is good in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But there is more that is disappointing.
“There are a number of choices that just don’t track, fan service that doesn’t work, and ignored details that are missed. I’m bummed,” he concluded.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is released in UK cinemas at midnight tonight.
