Marianne Faithfull biopic casts Bohemian Rhapsody star Lucy Boynton as singer

In addition to playing Faithfull, Boynton will also be serving as Executive Producer on the project.

She previously garnered praise for her role as Mary Austin in 2018’s Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Taking on the part of the Queen legend’s former girlfriend, she, alongside the rest of the cast, gained a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Faithful, now 73, began her career in music in the 1960s as a folk performer and was discovered by Rolling Stones producer Andrew Loog Oldham when she attended their album launch part in with artist John Dunbar 1964.
