Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: Rey mystery SOLVED in never-before-seen pic?
Star Wars fans walked out of cinemas with a lot of answers and a few brand new questions after The Rise of Skywalker’s release a couple of months ago but one mystery may be set to be solved with the release of the new comic later this year. Episode IX came to a dramatic climax when Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) finally came face-to-face with Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) after tracking down the evil Sith Lord in a bid to defeat him once and for all.
As it turned out, the young Jedi was tasked with eliminating her own grandfather, Kylo Ren/Ben Solo (Adam Driver) having revealed the family connection earlier in the film.
Going toe-to-toe with the Emperor, Rey used both Skywalker lightsabers to deflect his lightning, killing him but also draining her of her life-force at the same time.
She was then saved by Solo, who used Force healing to transfer what remained of his own strength to her.
After the Resistance managed to destroy the command ship and, as aid rose up all over the galaxy, defeated the First Order, Rey travelled to Tatooine to bury the Skywalker lightsabers.

Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: The mystery of Rey’s yellow lightsaber might be solved
Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: Rey unveiled her yellow lightsaber at the end of the film
There, she unveiled her own, a yellowish orange weapon, which looks to have been crafted from her staff.
All might become clear about the mystery behind the meaning and origin of Rey’s new lightsaber in the coming months, however.
Marvel Comics have unveiled the cover of the upcoming sixth in its current comic book series, depicting Luke with *drum roll*… a yellow lightsaber.
As it stands, it’s unclear what happened to Luke’s blue lightsaber after the events of The Empire Strikes Back, which saw him lose it down an air shaft in the midst of his epic fight with Darth Vader (David Prowse and James Earl Jones).
Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: Luke is holding a yellow saber in the upcoming Star Wars #6
In Return of the Jedi, Luke came back with a green lightsaber.
But fans have yet to learn how he goes from the green one to a yellow.
The chances are, though, that Star Wars #6 will reveal how Luke comes to be in possession of a yellow lightsaber, likely in the time between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
However Luke comes by the yellow saber is likely to reveal some clues about Rey’s.

Luckily for Star Wars fans, they don’t have long to wait to find out about the history of the yellow weapon as Star Wars #6 is set for release in just a few months.
A deep-dive into the history of the franchise hints at the reason behind the colour of the first lightsaber which Rey has as her own.
Until now, prior to The Rise of Skywalker, the only times they had appeared in canon were in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, the animated series.
There, the yellow lightsabers were used by the Jedi Temple Guard, defenders of the Jedi Temple selected from the Jedi Knights.
This could hint at Rey going on to use hers to protect what is left of the Jedi.
The colour could also be down to a blend of green and red lightsabers, giving hers the orange hue.
In an interview with Insider, visual effects supervisor Roger Guyett explained how they landed on the colour for Rey.
“A fair number of colours have been used in lightsabers. So, there was a design challenge there in terms of what colour it should be,” he said. “There was kind of an optimistic kind of quality to that, but we also wanted [Rey] to have a very unique colour.
“We ran some tests and decided in the end what colour it would be.”
He went on to reveal: “Making it that more golden yellow gives you that optimistic feeling and it also allows you to make it supersaturated and still feel like it’s in there Star Wars universe.”
Star Wars #6 will be released in May.
