Philippe Coutinho U-turn
Liverpool have been urged to change their minds on signing Philippe Coutinho this summer and fork out to bring their old forward back to Anfield, according to Phil Thompson.
Coutinho is expected to leave Barcelona this summer, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham leading the way to sign the Brazilian.
“They are probably looking at that creative midfield player,” he said. “Would you take Coutinho back? I would, in a heartbeat. I think he’s a creative genius.
“You look back at his Liverpool career and he was absolutely terrific. He’s not too old and I still think he could come back. It probably won’t happen but it’s that creative player just off the front three that would probably just tip the balance.”

Ferran Torres to Manchester United
Manchester United are looking to sign Valencia star Ferran Torres.
According to The Athletic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are prepared to pay Torres’ £87million release clause IF their swoop for Jadon Sancho fails.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed another profitable campaign for Valencia having scored six goals and provided seven assists in 35 appearances – including two Champions League strikes.
His displays have attracted attention from across Europe with Real Madrid, Juventus and Liverpool all showing interest in the versatile winger, whose contract expires in June 2021.
The Daily Mail suggest Valencia will have to offload Torres this summer for a reduced price rather than seeing him walk away for free next year.

Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool
Liverpool are considering an audacious move for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League leaders are looking at signing the 21-year-old should Sadio Mane leave for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly ‘determined’ to sign the Senegal international in the upcoming transfer window to bolster his attacking options – and has already contacted the player’s representatives to establish a dialogue.
The Sun suggest Liverpool will demand £150million for Mane and their owners FSG would like to use that income plus £100m of their own cash to complete a £250m deal for the World Cup winner.
It’s said new kit sponsors Nike could subsidise part of his £400,000-a-week wages to protect the wage structure at Anfield.

Manuel Neuer transfer
Chelsea transfer target Manuel Neuer will turn down the chance to join the Blues this summer and stay at Bayern Munich, according to insider Jan Age Fjortoft.
Chelsea are said to be looking at Neuer as a potential replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has been tipped to leave this summer.
The 34-year-old is out of contract next summer, and has been tipped to leave in the upcoming summer transfer window.
He is still locked in negotiations with the German champions over a potential extension, but is still yet to sign on the dotted line.
However, former Frankfurt player Fjortoft believes Neuer will end up signing an extension and snubbing a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
“Do I think he will sign? Yes, I think he will sign,” he said on ESPN FC. “Now, it’s all about the timing of it. The main thing is, Manuel Neuer is desperate to stay at Bayern. He loves it there, it’s a great club, they’re his club, they’re German, he’s German.”

Jadon Sancho possibility
Manchester United signing Jadon Sancho in the next transfer window is a “very big possibility”, according to European football expert Julien Laurens.
The Borussia Dortmund star excited fans at the weekend during an Instagram live session by suggesting he would be signing for United.
A fan asked Sancho to take a sip of water if he was joining United, which he duly obliged to do.
Laurens reckons it was a joke from Sancho and that a deal is clearly not done between United and Dortmund yet.
However, he says there is a very good chance the 20-year-old will end up joining the Old Trafford club.
“He might be joining United and United will certainly do a lot of work,” Laurens told the Gab and Juls podcast. “I don’t think it’s done already, obviously, but I think it’s a very big possibility he will end up at Old Trafford in the summer, whenever the transfer window opens.”

Tanguy Ndombele priority
Barcelona is Tanguy Ndombele’s preference should he leave Tottenham in the upcoming transfer window.
That’s according to Spanish publication Sport, who claim Barcelona have liked Ndombele since his days in Ligue 1.
Ndombele, 23, arrived at Tottenham from Lyon for an initial £55million plus a further £9m in add-ons, but his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho is at breaking point.
However, there’s a problem. Sport claim Barcelona have a ‘complicated’ relationship with Mourinho and club chief Daniel Levy is a notoriously tough negotiator.
