Pirates of the Caribbean 6 ‘is SEPARATE’ to potential female spin-off: TWO movies possible
Yesterday, a report revealed that the House of Mouse are considering a Pirates of the Caribbean reboot without Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow. Allegedly, Avengers Endgame star Karen Gillan is at the top of the list to presumably play Disneyland ride pirate Redd. But now another alleged insider has claimed that there could be two Pirates movies in the works.
Supposedly, Disney are considering Pirates of the Caribbean 6 separate to a female-led reboot.
Movie insider and film editor Vahn tweeted: “Karen Gillan’s ‘Pirates’ #Film is not ‘#PiratesOfTheCaribbean 6’.
“The sixth film would be a direct continuation from ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ [Salazar’s Revenge in UK] and it’s to be the finale with a massive scale conclusion.
“Kaya Scodelario is contracted to return. Terry Rossio completed the screenplay.”

After all, there are rumours that some studio executives are lobbying for his return.
Perhaps Disney will release a female-led spin-off and then incorporate Redd into a Depp-led Pirates 6.
Whatever the case, going ahead with a Pirates of the Caribbean movie without Jack Sparrow would be a huge financial gamble for Disney.
After all, in a sense, he is the face of the franchise.
