Avengers Infinity War: Directors explain WHERE Hawkeye is PLUS huge Peter Dinklage reveal

Poor old Hawkeye.

Fans have actually started campaigns to find out where Jeremy Renner’s much-maligned and much missed (by some) character has been hiding.

He has not appeared on any of the Avengers 3 posters or promo trailers so far and some fans fear he will not be in the movie at all.

The Russo’s finally revealed what is going on with the AWOL archer in a new interview.

The blockbuster brothers spoke out after the recent special fan event in London when a 20-minute segment of the movie was screened.

They were bluntly asked where Hawkeye was.

Joe said: “All will be revealed. We keep saying, ‘patience is a virtue.’ We did not forget the twice-nominated Jeremy Renner. We cooked up a story for him that is a little bit of a long play. Not a short play.”

This seems to confirm what many suspected and Hawkeye wil feature much more heavily in Avengers 4.

Fans also believe he will play some kind of role in the upcoming Ant Man And The Wasp, which arrives straight after Avengers 3 in July.

As for Peter Dinklage, he is confirmed to be appearing in Infinity War, but there has been no oficial imagery or character name.

Is he really playing Eitri, the King of the Dwarves, who forged Thor’s hammer Mjolnir and created the Infinity Gauntlet?

The directors were asked if we will recognise the Game of Thrones star in the film.

Joe said: “You will, yeah. It may take you a beat or two but you will certainly recognise him in the film.” 

Anthony added: “That’s all we can say.”

This seems to confirm that Dinklage will not play a CGI character like Rocket Raccoon or Ebony Maw. It looks most likely he will play Eitri, King of the Dwarves. Fans believe Thor goes to the dwarven realm of Nidavellir and asks Eitri to create his new weapon Jarnbjorn.
