Avengers Infinity War scene makes Black Order look WEAK: Fan backlash 'This SUCKS'

Marvel has never faced the vitriol that some fans have directed at DC and Star Wars movie adaptations.

It easy to think that the MCU is infallible and universally all-pleasing. However a backlash is growing agains the depiction of the Black Order in the latest TV teasers trailers and clips.

One fan blasted: “Is this a joke?” while another complained: “The movie versions are kinda wimpy next to the comic book incarnations.”

Have the Black Order really been nerfed? Has Marvel actually put a foot wrong?

A new clip was shown on Good Morning America. It appears to take place after the scene shown in the trailers where Corvus Glaive is using a metal claw to try and rip the Mind Stone from Vision’s head.

With Vision still alive and possessing the Mind Stone before the battle of Wakanda later in the movie, it is clear he escapes the early attack and Empire magazine had already revealed that Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon come to the rescue – but the clip appears to make it look far too easy.

WATCH THE NEW SCENE FROM INFINITY WAR NEXT:

Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive are two of the most feared beings in the Universe, but appear to have been effortlessly tossed aside by three humans, when the magic wielder Scarlett Witch and super-powered Vision were defeated.

Fan comments include: “I feel like the Black Order is gonna look weak as f*** in the movie.”

“Ok, unless this is some ruse, maybe the Black Order is the weak point of the movie.”

“Wtf????? Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight so easily defeated? This suckkkkkkkksssssssss.”

“So, the children of Thanos, the most powerful being in the galaxy get defeated by humans? Lame.”

An onslaught of messages under the clip accused Marvel of “nerfing“ the Black Order. In gaming terms this means reducing the desirability or effectiveness of a particular game element.

In this case, fans are convinced that Marvel has weakened the powers of the Black Order characters to make the heroes look better and stronger.

Many posts agreed: “Proxima and Corvus got nerfed,” or “They nerfed Corvus…Sad, ” and “Is this a joke? Proxima ALONE can solo these three!”

Some fans did have a hopeful explanation, though.

The idea that it could be a deception to lull the Avengers into a false sense of security was shared by various fans.

One said: “Why are Corvus and Proxima weak as hell in that new clip? They gotta be playing them. No way birdman, atomic blonde and cap giving the black order trouble like THAT.”

Since the Black Order are seen subduing Loki and possibly have already defeated Thor in the opening scene, why are they suddenly so ineffective here? Many fans are convinced Marvel and parent company Disney always favour human heroes over aliens, gods and other superpowered characters.

As always, it will be impossible to tell for sure until the film hits screens.

AVENGERS INFINITY WAR IS OUT ON APRIL 26.
