Macaulay Culkin reveals the real ‘CREEPY’ reason he can’t watch Home Alone anymore

The child star made his name in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits like Uncle Buck and Richie Rich.

However he’ll forever be best known for playing Kevin McCallister in 1990’s Home Alone and its 1992 follow-up, Lost in New York – which included a Donald Trump cameo.

Now 37-years-old, Culkin appeared on Ellen last week, where he revealed that still looking so much like his 10-year-old self was both “a curse and a blessing.”

He also explained why he feels he can’t watch Home Alone anymore.

He said: “It’s background radiation at Christmas time.

“I’ve had people who want to sit down and watch it with me, which is like both flattering and creepy.

“When I’m watching it I’m remembering ‘that’ day on set…I can’t watch it the same way other people do.”

Ellen also asked Culkin about him being continually asked by fans to do the famous Home Alone hands-to-face gasp.

Asking him what he says to fans who make the request, Culkin revealed he doesn’t do it for them.

He said: “It’s like, ‘No. I’ve already been there, done that already. I’m 37 now okay.’”

According to sources, Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin earned $100,000 for Home Alone, and $1 million for his role in My Girl. 

Then he went on to earn $4.5 million for Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, then $8 million for Getting Even With Dad and the same sum for Richie Rich.
