Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will marry in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The Suits actress’s gown for the big day is the source of much speculation.

Meghan Markle’s wedding dress is said to be from Ralph & Russo and cost in the region on £40,000.

But there is one important detail of a traditional wedding dress fans will be keen to take note of.

Will Meghan Markle wear white on her royal wedding day?

Leading bookmaker Coral has seen a gamble this morning on Meghan Markle wearing cream on her wedding day, rather than white, and have slashed the odds into 6-4 (from 5-1).

The firm is also betting on the colour of the Queen’s hat for the wedding in which pink is the 5-2 favourite, blue is 3-1 and yellow is 4-1.

“This gamble behind Meghan wearing cream on her big day is picking up pace with every day as punters feel as though she won’t opt for a traditional white dress,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Betting behind the Queen’s hat colour is always popular on such occasions and it is pink which is the favourite this time around,” added Hill.

Express.co.uk revealed Meghan Markle’s wedding dress may not be white, as Kate Middleton, 36, and even the Queen, 91, didn’t wear the hue.

Wedding dresses can come in various different pale shades including ivory, cream, oyster, champagne and the classic pure white.

Blush pink wedding dresses have been very popular in recent bridal collections.

White is thought to represent purity and virginity.

Historic royal white wedding gowns notably include Mary, Queen of Scots, who wore a white wedding gown in 1559 when she married her first husband, Francis Dauphin of France, as it was her favourite colour.

Kate Middleton’s wedding dress was made from ivory satin.

The Queen’s wedding dress was made of ivory silk.

Meghan Markle may wear the Queen Mother’s jewellery for her wedding day.

Rebecca Share, Jewellery Expert and Gemologist at www.thefinejewellerycompany.com exclusively told Express.co.uk: “There is much speculation about what she will wear on her wedding day and the only thing that is for certain, is that she won’t be wearing the Cartier tiara Kate wore to her wedding, as it is currently on display in an exhibition.”

Ms Share said: “Due to their unique styles, it is thought that she may wear the Strathmore Rose tiara or have something totally unique.”
