Man Utd Transfer News: Mourinho gives green light, Griezmann move on, midfielder done deal
Manchester United are ready to sanction Wayne Rooney’s exit within the next month, according to reports.
The England captain is thought to be considering a big-money move to China and United will not stand in his way if he wants to leave.
And according to The Mirror, Jose Mourinho and the club board have given their backing to letting Rooney go.
The 31-year-old will pocket around £650,000 a week in the Far East – a hefty pay rise on his current £300,000-a-week contract.
United’s chances of signing Griezmann have received a boost with Atletico already planning his replacement.
Mourinho has made the French striker his priority target for the summer and is using Paul Pogba to try and convince him to join.
And according to The Sun, the Spanish giants accept Griezmann is likely to move to Manchester.
They have reportedly opened talks with Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez to replace him at the Vicente Calderon.
Sean Goss has left United for Championship side QPR.
The young midfielder, who failed to make a single league appearance for the Red Devils during his five-year spell, has put pen to paper on three-and-a-half year deal.
Following his move, Goss tweeted: “Delighted to have signed for @QPRFC can’t wait for this new chapter and to meet my new team mates! Thanks for the messages.”
