Who is Captain Marvel?

Captain Marvel is known as the biggest female superhero according to fan site Comic Alliance.

Brie Larson, who won the 2016 Oscar for Best Actress for Room, is set to play the iconic superhero in her upcoming solo film on March 6, 2019.

Carol Susan Jane Danvers’ story began in the 1960s as an officer in the United States Air Force.

She worked side-by-side with Kree alien ally Mar-Vell and during an explosion, Mar-Vell’s DNA fused with her own.

This accident resulted in her gaining superhuman powers.

What are her powers?

Captain Marvel’s powers include flight, enhanced strength, durability and the ability to shoot concussive energy bursts from her hands.

She is also a skilled pilot and hand-to-hand combatant.

Fans are speculating that Captain Marvel may be the key to saving the Avengers in the next instalment of the series.

When is the Avengers 4 Movie out?

Avengers 4 is slated to be the final film in Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Producer Kevin Feige told Vanity Fair the still-untitled movie will “bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale.”

Captain Marvel is likely to make an appearance in the fourth Avengers film, which is being released on May 3, 2019.
