Camilla Duchess of Cornwall wore navy polkadot dress to meet Meghan Markle’s mother

Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles are in the middle of a busy few days. 

This morning, the couple met Meghan Markle’s mother Doria for the first time, ahead of the 36-year-old’s wedding to Prince Harry this Saturday, May 19.

They were spotted in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where Harry and Meghan live at Nottingham Cottage.

One of their aides was carrying a bouquet of flowers, thought to be a gift for Meghan’s mother, who arrived from California yesterday.

Afterwards, the duchess was seen getting into a helicopter with her husband, en route to an official engagement.

Camilla wore a navy dress with white polkadots, in a heavy fabric to guard against the relatively strong breeze.

She also donned a knee-length navy coat and looked tanned after her recent trip to France and Greece.

The 70-year-old wore a four-strand pearl necklace, offset by pearl earrings and a round brooch.

She carried a small grey handbag and wore matching grey heels.

Her husband complemented his wife in a grey suit, blue shirt and navy tie.

Camilla and Charles flew to the National Arboretum in Staffordshire to honour British victims of international terrorism.

A permanent national memorial, called Still Water, was unveiled in a special ceremony.

The pair was joined by 300 family members of people who have died in terrorist attacks abroad.

The memorial is also intended to honour any future victims of overseas terrorism.

The aim is that the memorial, which was completed in December, will be a place of reflection for anyone who has been affected by terrorism, whether or not they have lost a loved one.

The duke and duchess will attend the Royal Wedding at St George’s Chapel on Saturday.

The church holds special memories for the couple as it is where they became husband and wife in 2005.

Earlier today, Meghan and Harry attended a wedding rehearsal at the chapel.

Meghan wore her hair in a half-up/half-down style, leading to speculation she will choose a similar style on her wedding day. 

Her hair was parted in the middle, with long strands framing her face and her long hair sitting in loose waves.
