Queen Letizia looks chic in monochrome as she steps out in Madrid

Queen Letizia, 45, visited a Military Emergencies Unit in Madrid today, and the royal made sure to look her best for the day.

Mum-of-two Letizia showed off her trim figure in a pair of slim cut black trousers which were cropped at the ankle.

A row of buttons could be seen running up the leg of the trousers.

She paired this with a simple black top, and over the top, she wore a collarless white swing coat which added a 60s feel to her look.

Letizia wore a pair of simple black court shoes. The skinny heels added inches to her frame.

Pulling the look together, Letizia carried a white and black clutch in her hands.

A pair of diamond earrings could be seen in her ears, but the royal didn’t appear to be wearing any other jewellery.

As the event was lowkey, Letizia kept her hair and makeup simple. She wore her hair straight down over her shoulders with a slight side parting.

Makeup-wise, she stuck with a simple sweep of bronzer and a peach lipstick.

Her nails were also bare – unusual for the glamorous royal, who often wears them with red polish.

As the summer approaches, Letizia is wearing a lot of white outfits.

Earlier this week, she stepped out in a tight-fitting white dress.

The Spanish royal and her husband King Felipe, 50, welcomed the Colombian President and his wife to La Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.

A slim black belt at the waist further highlighted her tiny frame.

Letizia paired the dress with a pair of simple black leather courts, slightly different from the pair she is wearing today.

At the start of the month, Letizia showed off her slim frame in a pair of white trousers which skimmed her thighs, flaring out at the bottoms in a flattering finish.

A sharp white jacket matched the trousers, and Letizia continued the angelic theme with a white silk top underneath.

Adding some contrast, Letizia held a brown and white leather bag in her hand.

She completed the look with a pair of tan leather stiletto heels.

Her long brown hair was tucked behind her ears, and a pair of drop earrings could be seen dangling as she walked.
