The Marvel film is packed with cameos and Easter eggs, some so expertly woven into the movie that they’re almost impossible to spot.

Deadpool fans were left screaming with excitement over both the anticipated and shock celebrity cameos in the sequel.

Who made cameos in Deadpool 2?

Matt Damon

The easy-to-miss cameo that took everybody by surprise was undoubtedly Matt Damon.

The star was spotted when future time traveller Cable (Josh Brolin) first arrives in Deadpool 2, he stumbles across two rednecks engaged in a deep conversation.

What were they talking about? Toilet tissue.

One of those very rednecks was Matt Damon, complete with wig, hat, prosthetic make-up, and fake beer belly.

Alan Tudyk

“Redneck Number 2” is none other than Alan Tudyk, of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, also famous for his role in Firefly, a beloved sci-fi show cancelled after one season.

Deadpool’s fiancée, Vanessa Carlysle, is played by Morena Baccarin who also starred in Firefly alongside Tudyk.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt also makes a brief, stunning cameo as Vanisher.

His face is revealed to the audience as he dies by electrocution.

Brad Pitt’s inclusion in Deadpool 2 came as just a big of a surprise to fans as Matt Damon’s appearance.

Pitt was briefly considered for the role of Cable, and though negotiations didn’t go farther than a chat, it was a positive enough experience that Pitt was cast as Vanisher.

Deadpool 2 director David Leitch moved from behind the camera to in front of it, making a cameo as one of Cable’s victims.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick

Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick both have cameos too, but because they aren’t widely recognised faces, they were hard to spot.

They appear as a news helicopter pilot and his cameraman, Reese and Wernick respectively, who get covered in Shatterstar’s (Lewis Tan) green entrails.

Hugh Jackman

Unsurprisingly, Hugh Jackman made an appearance as Wolverine during the post-credit spoilers, but another Jackman related-cameo of sorts was harder to spot.

Deadpool’s crayon-drawn blueprint of their mission is surprisingly detailed, and Russell, the pyromancer delinquent, is designated as “Prisoner 24601” on the blueprint.

The number is used famously in Les Mis for Jean Valjean, played in the film by Hugh Jackman.
