Solo Star Wars Story: Rumour of THIS iconic character’s shock cameo is FALSE

It’s no secret that the likes of Han Solo, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian are seen in their younger forms in the new anthology tale.

But another Star Wars favourite from the original movies – Jabba the Hutt – was also thought to be back.

The Sun reported in March of this year that the beastly baddie was supposed to be back, but now that the movie is on the verge of coming out in the UK, it’s confirmed to be false.

Fans will have to keep an ear out to discover if and how he is referenced, but we don’t see Jabba in person.

“It’s a huge secret but Jabba is returning to the Star Wars universe,” a source told had told the paper.

“Fans will learn why Han ended up owing him so much money.”

They added: “Yoda was brought back for The Last Jedi and now Disney wants to bring back another legacy character.

“Jabba is so synonymous with the franchise.”

Still, with the door clearly left open for future Solo movies, it is entirely possible that Jabba could be seen in another movie in the near future.

There is another legacy character who DOES make a shock appearance, however – we won’t spoil it here, but safe to say it’s best to see the movie before you find out through the grapevine.

Solo: A Star Wars Story finally lands in cinemas this weekend after a year of controversy, but it should pull in a good amount of money at the box office.

In fact, in the US, it stands a good chance of bagging the top-grossing Memorial Day weekend opening of all time.

It’s the second anthology film in the can, after Rogue One: A Star Wars Story back in 2016.
