Ontario ‘EXPLOSION’ leaves bystanders in ‘CRITICAL’ state as Canada police launch MANHUNT

Peel Regional Police tweeted on Friday morning two people entered the establishment and left three people in “critical condition”.

The department said: “Two suspects attended the scene, detonated an Improvised Explosive Device within the restaurant.

“Several injured were taken to local hospital and three in critical condition were taken to a Toronto Trauma Centre.”

Emergency crews responded to calls in Mississauga at around 10.32pm local time (3.32am BST).

Three patients have been transported to hospital in a critical condition with blast injuries.

At least 15 people were injured.

Multiple patients were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Two suspects fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Peel Police have released information on the suspects, and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the pair.

Peel Police tweeted: “Two parties fled the scene immediately after the incident.

“First described as male, 5’10-6feet, stocky build, mid twenties, light skin, wearing dark blue jeans, dark zip up hoodie pulled over head, baseball cap with light grey peak, face covered with black cloth material.

“Second male described as 5’9” to 5’10”, fair skin, thin build, faded blue jeans, dark zip-up hoodie hood pulled over head, grey t-shirt, dark coloured skate shoes, face covered.”

The Plaza area around the restaurant has been sealed, police have confirmed.

Images seen by Express.co.uk show emergency service personnel desperately escorting people from the scene.

One elderly woman was shown being moved from the area in a wheelchair.
