Jurassic World 2 release date UK: When does Fallen Kingdom come out in UK?

The fifth instalment of Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park series is set to hit cinemas this June, with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas-Howard in the lead roles

Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom is coming to UK cinemas on Wednesday, 6 June 2018.

While Fallen Kingdom is getting its UK release date in early June, American fans will have to wait a bit longer.

The fifth instalment of the Jurassic Park franchise is set to hit USA screens on June 22, 2018.

But some lucky Jurassic World fans have already seen the sequel. Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom premiered at the WiZink Center in Madrid, Spain on May 21, 2018.

Reactions from fans of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and its director Juan Antonio Bayona were largely positive, with some bordering on fanatical.

J.A. Bayona is widely known for his emotionally devastating movie A Monster Calls starring Felicity Jones, Lewis MacDougall, and Liam Neeson’s voice as the monster.

Bayona also directed the 2007 horror film The Orphanage.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the first blockbuster to have Bayona’s name on it.

Colin Trevorrow, the Jurassic Park franchise overseer and director of the first Jurassic World movie picked Bayona for the job.

Trevorrow will return to direct the still-untitled Jurassic World 3 movie slated for a 2021 release.

There are plenty of trailers, behind-the-scenes videos, and interviews to keep American fans going in the meantime.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is predicted to take between £97.8 million – £112.8m ($130m – $150m) in its opening weekend.

Mexico and the USA are the only ones seeing it on June 22, 2018.

Thailand and Japan have to wait even longer, until early July, for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to land in cinemas.

Along with the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Iceland, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan are all getting a June 6, 2018 release date.
