Jurassic World 2: Is Bryce Dallas Howard in Fallen Kingdom as Claire?

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will come to the big screens in the UK on June 6, 2018 – weeks before the film is released in the USA

The latest Jurassic Park adventure is expected to rake in box office takings and a third Jurassic World movie is already slated for a 2021 release.

With Fallen Kingdom promising an all-star cast, the likes of Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Navy veteran and dinosaur trainer Owen Grady.

The redhead reprised her role as impractical-shoe wearing Claire Dearing for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Bryce Dallas Howard is a name long kicking about the movie industry, though it has nothing to do with her father – blockbuster director Ron Howard.

Bryce began acting around age seven as an extra in her father’s movies.

Howard played Rosalind in a critically acclaimed 2003 production of As You Like It at The Public Theater in New York City.

Her performance as Rosalind caught the eye of director M. Night Shyamalan, and thus her movie career began.

Howard has appeared in two Shyamalan films, The Village and Lady of the Water, garnering several awards, mostly in the category of Best Breakthrough Performance for the former.

Her career continued on an upward trajectory and she won several Best Supporting Actress awards for her part in The Help before landing the role of Claire Dearing in the 2015 Jurassic World.

Claire Dearing introduced the world to the Jurassic World park as its operations manager.

For Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Claire turns into a dinosaur activist who founded the Dinosaur Protection Group in order to evacuate the surviving dinosaurs from Isla Nublar.

Speaking to Radio Times, Howard said she specifically requested Claire wear high-heels in the sequel.

“Obviously Claire is prepared this time going to the island, so she’s naturally going to wear boots but in the first scene it was written: ‘Claire’s wearing sneakers’ and I circled that and was like, ‘No, no, it’s an office, Claire would wear heels.’

“It’s important to be truthful to the character in that way, in that she can do both. She can wear flats, and she can wear heels.”

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is in UK cinemas June 6, 2018 and June 22 in the USA.
