Jurassic World cast: Is Jeff Goldblum in Fallen Kingdom? Will there be Jurassic world 3?

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is already predicted to be a box office smash.

The sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World sees Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles.

The Jurassic Park franchise, however, stretches far wider than just two movies.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the fifth in the franchise, with the original 1993 film featuring Laura Dern, Sam Niell, and of course Jeff Goldblum.

Will Jeff Goldblum be in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom?

To the delight of fans the answer is yes, but to their disappointment, there’s a caveat.

Goldblum is set to have a cameo only in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Director JA Bayona said: “He’s more like a cameo — he doesn’t have a major role in the action but it’s definitely a very meaningful one in terms of the story.”

Goldblum confirmed this, stating his appearance as Dr Ian Malcolm would be small.

Goldblum told Empire: “I’ll be a sprig of parsley or a little garnish, hopefully with some impact!”

Will there be a Jurassic World 3?

Talks over further Jurassic World movies were already happening during the filming of the 2015 movie.

Executive producer Steven Spielberg told director Colin Trevorrow that he was interested in having several more films made.

Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley confirmed in November 2015 that Trevorrow and Spielberg had a story idea for the sixth film, which would be the final in the new trilogy.

Director Trevorrow said: “I knew the end. I knew where I wanted it to go.”

Dern, who starred in the original Jurassic Park movie, told Entertainment Weekly: “If you guys make a last one, you gotta let Ellie Sattler come back. She’s always the one who’s saving the day, man!”

But, yes there is a Jurassic World 3 movie planned, and it would be released on June 11, 2021.

Trevorrow has said Pratt and Howard would reprise their roles, and new characters will be introduced in Fallen Kingdom who will become majorly important to the plot.

He also added that the third Jurassic World film would most closely match the tone of Spielberg’s original 1993 Jurassic Park film.
