A charming movie that celebrates the diversity England has to offer, Bend it like Beckham features a traditional Indian wedding in the heart of London.

When Pinky, the sister of main protagonist Jess, has her wedding it features colourful saris, vibrant music, and the beautiful architecture of Central Gurdwara.

The wedding may not be the main point of the movie, but it’s definitely one of the highlights if only for the moment when Jess rushes off to win the most important match of her budding football career.

Fast forward through time and eventually, Charles is at his own wedding, though not to the ‘love of his life’ which ends about as well as you can imagine.

More false-starts ensue, but by the end of it Charles and his true love, Carrie, wind up together.

The church where Charles didn’t get married has been used in Sherlock Holmes, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and The Other Boleyn Girl.

Bridget Jones’s Baby follows the seminal Bridget Jones’s Diary, a must-see Romantic Comedy for any movie buff.

Don’t worry, Emma Thompson also finds love, and winds up with Edward Farris (Hugh Grant).
