Avengers 4 fan theories: Will The Eternals’ Kronos feature in Avengers 4?

Marvel never seems to take a break from rolling out blockbusters.

Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, already confirmed development is underway on an Eternals movie.

For those who don’t know, the Eternals are a fictional race of humanity who first appeared in Marvel Comics in the 1970s, and are an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created human life on Earth.

The alien Celestials created the Eternals to be the defenders of Earth and, inevitably, this led to a war with their counterparts the Deviants.

Will The Eternals’ Kronos feature in Avengers 4?

Rumours are circulating that next year’s as-yet-untitled Avengers 4 could lay the foundations for the characters’ introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fansite MCU Cosmic reported that Kronos is set to make an appearance in the Infinity War sequel, although this remains unconfirmed.

Kronos is one of the most powerful Eternals, founder of the planet Titan and perhaps most importantly the grandfather of Thanos.

Kronos is a master of time which bodes well for the fan theories surrounding time travel in Avengers 4.

The popular fan theory revolves around Tony Stark and the other Avengers as they try to use time travel to undo the chaos caused by Thanos’ Snap.

The role of Eternals in Avengers 4 is unconfirmed as of yet, but MCU Cosmic is known for breaking accurate news.

Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos and Kronos, recently suggested Avengers 4 will introduce another of his characters and since Thanos is already in Avengers, Kronos is the logical option.

To add more credence to the theory, a leak on Reddit claimed: “there’s a pivotal scene between Doctor Strange and a fully CGI character being shot on a secret location, with a skeleton crew, and which takes up a sizable portion of the budget.”

Whether that fully CGI character is Kronos is yet to be confirmed but given the mountain of evidence above, it sounds probable.

Another Reddit user claimed they have a friend who’s working on Avengers 4 who showed them concept art for the powerful Eternal.

The Reddit user also alleged Kronos will be black-and-white instead of purpose for his appearance in Avengers 4.

The plot synopsis for Avengers 4 written by License Global describes the Marvel movie as: “A culmination of 22 interconnected films, the fourth instalment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey.

“Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”

Avengers 4 will be in cinemas on Friday, April 26, 2019.
