They’re calling it the biggest shampoo innovation since 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioners, which I think is rather underselling it as, let’s be honest, 2-in-1s were pretty rubbish.

The all-new Pantene Pro-V Shampoo Repair & Protect (£3.99; nationwide) is the first shampoo proven to deposit nutrients into the hair’s core rather than leave them on the surface.

As you lather, strengthening lipids are absorbed thanks to “gel network” technology, which allows the lipids to “melt” into the core, leaving it, impressively, up to 100 per cent stronger.

I don’t know why mini beauty products are so covetable, but condense something into a tiny bottle and my good feelings towards it increase exponentially.

As for pocket-sized perfumes, they don’t come much classier than Acqua di Parma, whose Le Colonie and Le Nobili sets (£102 each; acquadiparma.com) contain a trio of 20ml bottles.

The Coconut Guava Body Scrub (£12; cultbeauty.co.uk) is a personal favourite – sea salt sloughs away dead cells to even out tone and texture, coconut oil boosts your natural glow and guava not only smells glorious but brings antioxidant vitamins A, B, C and potassium to keep the skin youthful.

Add an extra pop of colour for a festival, beachside cocktails or a sunset party using Rimmel’s Wonder’swipe Liner (£6.99; nationwide).

In 16 shades and with up to 10 hours’ staying power, the 2-in-1 formula transforms from highly pigmented metallic liner into a supremely sparkly shadow in a simple smudge.

Use one on its own or try out a combo of complementary (or clashing) colours for the ultimate unicorn eyes.
