Jim Carrey played ANOTHER role in comedy classic Liar Liar: Did you spot his secret cameo?
The actor is widely beloved for his comedy movies, and Liar Liar is definitely one of his best.
But in it, he paid a very subtle tribute to one of his other characters.
Fire Marshall Bill was a character from the sketch comedy show In Living Color, and he’s in the background of a scene near the end of Liar Liar.
When Audrey (Maura Tierney) and Jerry (Cary Elwes) are talking to an airport official, Fire Marshall Bill is in the crowd behind them, talking on his walkie-talkie.
It’s a very brief moment and the disguise is so good that fans would likely only spot him if they knew to look.
Liar Liar was a very successful comedy; released in 1997 and making $302.7 million at the box office.
It was the second of three collaborations between Carrey and director Tom Shadyac; the other two being Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Bruce Almighty.
The movie also managed to get good reviews; achieving 81% on Rotten Tomatoes and 6.9 on Metacritic.
The child actor in the film is Justin Cooper, now 29, who also starred in the TV shows General Hospital, ER and Full House.
According to his Wiki page, he is now the executive producer of The Ben Maller Show on Fox Sports Radio.
Tierney, meanwhile, is on The Affair; while Carrey is thought to have signed up for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
