April the giraffe starts producing MILK sending fans into a frenzy thinking birth is NEAR

The expectant mother was at home in the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York, on Friday, when her upper right udder began leaking.

A spokesman for the park wrote on Facebook: “This afternoon’s vet observations suggests milk has begun to fill the right udders.

“Wax caps remain and back end swell has continued to maintain a significant size. Appetite strong, moodiness returned this evening.”

But by the next day, her teat had stopped leaking milk according to Veterinarian ‘Dr Tim.’

The vet decided to snap a picture of the giraffe after her exam and she seemed to be in fine spirits.

She can be seen cheekily staring into the camera with an adorable expression, as though she’s posing for fans, while her supportive giraffe beau, Oliver looks on in the background of the image.

Staff posted an update on Facebook: “April continues to progress but in true April fashion, her upper right teat did not produce milk (it did yesterday) upon veterinary review. She keeps us guessing – she keeps in growing!”

April, has became a bonafide internet sensation, outdoing even the most popular memes of the day.

She has a dedicated hashtag on Twitter called #aprilthegiraffe and receives regular updates on the park’s Facebook page.

She has been pregnant for a whopping 15-months and her every move is watched on her live cam, which is available on YouTube.

The park began broadcasting updates on February 23 drawing worldwide attention. 

And, she continues to keep the world watching and waiting for her calf to be born.

Her army of fans worldwide tune in without fail to keep up with the giraffe’s life – making her the new, undisputed, queen of reality TV.

One Twitter user tweeted: “Checking in on April has become part of our morning routine!”

Roberta Dunspaugh DeMalo wrote on Facebook: “Realized tonight I am totally obsessed! Was out with my husband and some friends for dinner. Feed was down before we left and halfway through dinner I started panicking thinking I was missing something important and had to sneak a peek at my phone to check in!!

The new baby calf will be the fourth child for the doting giraffe mum.
