Harry Styles solo single: One Direction star in HUGE teaser – plus social media ‘whiteout’

The singer, 23, is expected to drop his first release as an artist in his own right on April 7 – a date confirmed by a new advert.

The short clip, which is backed only by the sound of a piano, was aired during last night’s episode of The Voice UK.

Harry is not referenced by name, and the only clear shots of him are in silhouette or extremely close-up on his eyes – but of course, his fans know him too well to not recognise him.

What’s more, Harry has mysteriously turned all of his social media profiles completely blank.

Harry will be the fourth member of the band to launch his own material: Zayn Malik scored a chart-topping single and album in 2016, while Niall Horan graced the Top 10 with This Town and Louis Tomlinson peaked at No2 on a dance collaboration with Steve Aoki.

Liam Payne is yet to release anything major on his own steam, but rather than producing records, he’s been producing people – girlfriend Cheryl gave birth to their son earlier this week.

One Direction announced a hiatus in 2015 but have consistently vowed to get back together in the fullness of time.
