Melania Trump could be 'deported' if she divorces 'vindictive' Donald, says former aide

Melania Trump, 48, could face deportation if she chooses to divorce her husband of thirteen years Donald Trump, 72, says a former White House aide.

Omarosa Manigault Newman made the claims in her new tell-all book “Unhinged” that was released last week.

The former political aide claims that if First Lady Melania Trump were to divorce her husband, then Donald Trump would find a way to deport her to her native country of Slovenia.

In her new memoir, Omorosa wrote that if Melania Trump was to cause Donald “the ultimate humiliation”, then he could find a way to invalidate her citizenship. The book and all claims made have been condemned and denied by the White House. 

Unhinged was released last week by Omarosa, a former White House employee and contestant on the US Apprentice.

Omarosa worked for the Trump administration from January 2017 to 2018, but was reportedly fired for treating White House executive car service “like a personal uber”.

According to the Independent, the book details how Donald could find a way to deport his wife if she chose to divorce him during his presidency.

Omorosa is said to write: “Since Donald is fully aware of however she acquired her permanent citizenship, he could, if there were anything fishy around it, expose the methods and somehow invalidate it.

“He is a vindictive man, and I would not put anything past him.

“If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave him while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.

“This is a man who has said he could pardon himself from the Mueller investigation. Why not pardon himself over an alleged visa payoff?”

Melania is said to have acquired a green card via a programme for people with “extraordinary ability”, known as the “Einstein visa”.

The visa is specifically for people such as academics, business executives and those with international or national acclaim.

Melania moved to the US to pursue her modelling career in 1996, gaining full US citizenship in 2006 after her marriage to Donald Trump.

Omarosa’s book has been attracting a lot of media attention, including criticism from president Trump himself.

One of the claims made in the book was that Melania Trump was “counting every minute” until she can divorce her husband of 13 years.

Responding to the claims, Melania’s spokesperson Stephanie Grisham said the First Lady and Omarosa “rarely, if ever, interacted.”

Grisham continued: “It’s disappointing to her that she is lashing out and retaliating in such a self-serving way, especially after all the opportunities given to her by the president.”

Melania is set to make her first public appearance following the shock claims this week, speaking at a cyberbullying summit.
