Arsenal hero explains why he doesn't trust the club's hierarchy after Unai Emery sacking

Arsenal hero Kevin Campbell has accused the club’s hierarchy of being untrustworthy and failing to keep promises. The Gunners have been struggling since the beginning of the campaign as they currently sit eighth in the table with only two wins in 12 Premier League matches and are haven’t managed to impress in the Europa League either.

Manager Unai Emery was sacked after the last few dire performances in all competitions but Campbell believes the Spaniard is not the only one to blame as the board are also responsible for the team’s current state.

The former striker argues that the problems started 13 years ago when the north Londoners left Highbury and moved to the Emirates as the new stadium’s costs led to smaller transfer budgets and the sale of some key players.

Fans were under the impression that a new golden era would kick off for Arsenal after their move but the board’s poor management has led to a completely different outcome.

“They haven’t backed Unai Emery properly and now the chickens are coming home to roost. Now they’re going to have to do something.

“I don’t trust the board, I’ve got to be honest. It seems like they’re interested in other things than the playing staff.

“There are a lot of angry Arsenal fans now because, remember, they got sold a dream leaving Highbury.
