Avengers 4 Endgame directors EXCITING news: 'There will be TEARS' – plus RUNTIME latest

Previous reports have seemed certain Endgame will clock in at 182 minutes. The directors have just made it very clear that is not confirmed. Yesterday, they revealed they were still putting the finishing touches to the MCU blockbuster and gave a very exciting update for fans. So, how long will the movie be?

Asked to confirm it would clock in around three hours, Anthony Russo told Fandango: “Yeah, that is … We don’t have an official locked runtime yet. Yeah, [but] we are right at about that.”

“We are in the very final maybe week and a half, two weeks at most. We are in the finishing stages.

“We just completed the score for the film. We’re still in the process of doing the full sound mix for the movie. We’re still finishing many visual effects shots. We’re still colour timing the film. We are making little picture tweaks here and there, but for the most part, we’re done changing picture. That’s where we’re at.”

Should fans brace themselves for more trauma?

Anthony said: “Well, if you look at all of our movies that Joe and I have done for Marvel, it’s really important to us to take the audience, the characters [and] the story to a place that nobody expected, and for that to be a thrilling and exciting place, [but] also a challenging place, because we like our storytelling very layered and complex.

“We want to laugh, we want to cry, we want to think, we want to be thrilled, we want to be scared. We want to have the entire spectrum of emotions when we experience a story, so that’s how we try to build our narrative.”

So, that is a big yes to the trauma, then..

Asked to describe the movie in simple genre terms, Anthony Russo added: “I can say that this movie is a really ambitious adventure. If I had to ascribe a genre to it, that would be the closest genre.”

It’s hard to imagine anything more ambitious than Infinity War, but if anyone can top it, it will be the Russos…
