Avengers 4 trailer release date ‘CHANGED’? Insiders disagree on Wednesday drop

Following the launch of the Captain Marvel trailer this morning, fans continue to wait eagerly for the first Avengers 4 teaser. Disney’s President of Marketing affirmed a Wednesday release on Twitter and a number of Hollywood insiders have said it will arrive tomorrow. The latest comes from Daniel R, who tweeted: “Still gonna drop on Wednesday as far as I know. We’ll see. Well, I’m still sticking to what I’ve told you guys. So there’s that.”

He added: “If something will change we’ll know soon enough but I really don’t think that’s the case.”

However, Collider’s Frosty, who hosted an Avengers Infinity War screening Q&A with The Russo Brothers last week, says he’s heard it’s been delayed again.

Last night he tweeted: “Here’s a bit more info. Heard the Avengers 4 trailer was going to drop last week. 

“Then I heard this Wednesday. Now I’m hearing the date has changed.”

He added: “Again. So anyone that tells you they know for sure when the trailer is dropping doesn’t know what they are talking about.

“It is a situation that keeps changing. Not trying to throw shade at anyone.

“Also, why get mad at @MarvelStudios about @Avengers 4 trailer. 

“They haven’t promised anything beyond a @captainmarvel trailer tonight. 

“Everyone needs to chill. The fact is if you’re an Avengers fan you would see the movie without a trailer so relax. You’ll see footage very soon.”

While certainty of a Wednesday release now sounds a bit wobbly, the Disney President of Marketing’s affirmation could be the key.

Of course, tomorrow is also the funeral of President George HW Bush, so for all we know Marvel Studios might postpone the trailer a day to avoid taking attention away from that.

For now, fans will have to take Captain America’s advice and be patient.

Avengers 4 is released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
