Avengers 4: Will Red Skull RETURN for new Soul Stone scenes after Infinity War?

The character, now played by Ross Marquand – taking over from Hugo Weaving – was instrumental in Thanos taking possession of the Soul Stone. Taking up residence in Vormir, he was the one who told the Mad Titan what he would have to sacrifice in order to get his hands on the stone. So will he be back?

So little is known about Marvel‘s Avengers 4, and several of the stars have spoken out in the past about not knowing if scenes they were shooting were for Infinity War or its sequel.

And it seems not even Marquand knows if he’ll be seen on-screen again next time around.

Red Skull has popped up in very few fan theories on how the story of the next film could play out, and indeed it does seem as though he’s now served his purpose.

But with plenty of surprises thought to be in store, could we see him again regardless?

Marquand simply said on Talking Dead: “I don’t know.

“I can’t answer that question. I really don’t know.”

Of course even if he did know, the star would likely be unable to confirm it one way or the other, given how tightly-kept all the secrets of the film are. But the fact he didn’t give a firm denial at least gives hope that he will be back.

Rumours suggest the trailer could drop in the next few days, which would certainly give fans some concrete footage to speculate over.

Avengers 4 – the title for which is still unannounced – is looking likely to be one of the biggest movie events of 2019.

It will follow one year after Avengers: Infinity War, which pulled in billions at the box office and ended with half of all living things in the universe being wiped out.

Many of the dead superheroes are expected back in some capacity, but the hows. whats and whys of their reappearances have yet to be revealed.
