Avengers 5: Kevin Feige reveals REAL reason team up is NOT happening in Marvel Phase 4

Avengers Endgame was the fourth Avengers movie, ending both Marvel Phase 3 and the Infinity Saga. To date, an Avengers movie has concluded each MCU Phase, but with the Phase 4 slate reveal at San Diego Comic Con this weekend, there was no sign of Avengers 5. Now Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has revealed the real reason why. Speaking with IGN, he said: “We had a movie this year called Avengers Endgame, and it is very much an ending, as you saw, to so many of those characters.”

Feige continued: “So Phase 4 is about beginnings, and Phase 4 is about learning new things about characters you already think you know like Black Widow.

“Meeting incredible new characters like The Eternals and Shang-Chi.

“Going on new adventures with Doctor Strange and Thor, and these Disney+ shows which I promise will be spectacular and not what anybody’s expecting.”

But when it eventually comes around, what will the superhero team line-up look like in Avengers 5?

Well, Kevin Feige has previously said how Captain Marvel is going to become the new figurehead of the franchise after Iron Man.

No doubt she’ll be joined by key players Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, and new Captain America Sam Wilson.

Other potentially new/continuing Avengers include Valkyrie (now Queen of Asgard), Natalie Portman’s Thor, The Wasp, War Machine, Shang-Chi, the Eternals, Okoye, Scarlet Witch, Shuri, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

As for the Avengers 5 villain, insiders claim Spider-Man’s nemesis Norman Osborn, aka the Green Goblin, will be the big bad in Phase 4 or 5.
