Avengers Endgame directors SPEAK OUT on that Spider-Man high school plot ISSUE

WARNING SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS ENDGAME AHEAD. Following the defeat of Thanos and Hulk’s reverse-Snap, a resurrected Peter Parker was seen reuniting with his buddy Ned in high school. However, Marvel fans have pointed out a potential plot problem going forwards for Spider-Man Far From Home. It’s now 2023 and Peter and Ned (who was presumably dusted too) haven’t aged in five years having been resurrected.

Surely this means those who survived the Snap in 2018, have grown up and been to college?

In a new interview with Chinese website QQ, The Russo Brothers have spoken out on this potential plot issue going forwards into Spider-Man Far From Home.

The Avengers Endgame directors said: “Those people who were lucky to survive the Snap are five years older than the people who just got back.

“The reason Spider-Man saw his friend again in high school at the end was simply because his friends were unfortunately also dusted like Spider-Man was.”

Aside from this new world where half the population are five years younger than everyone else, there’s also Gamora from 2014.

Arriving from a different timeline with Thanos in Avengers Endgame, she’s now living in 2023, having never known or joined the Guardians of the Galaxy and didn’t die on Vormir for the Soul Stone.

Presumably, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will see Star-Lord seeking out his alternate Gamora to win her heart.

Spider-Man Far From Home is released in UK cinemas on July 2, 2019.
