Avengers Endgame reviews embargo: When will fans FINALLY be able to read reviews?

Avengers: Endgame arrives in UK cinemas in only two days time, following months of speculation, fan theories and general Marvel-related hysteria. Critics responses are already online after the movie’s world premiere in Los Angeles. However, full-length reviews of the final chapter of Phase Three are still under embargo.

When will the Avengers: Endgame review embargo be lifted?

Reviews for Avengers: Endgame will be live online from 11pm today, Thursday, April 25, 2019.

Express.co.uk will, of course, have its own review of Avengers 4 published at this time, along with a myriad of other publications.

The embargo is in a large part to prevent spoilers from leaking online.

Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame’s directors, released a letter asking fans to keep any spoilers they glean under wraps.

They said in a letter issued to social media: “This is it. This is the end. The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises.

“For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers.

“Investing so deeply in every character and storyline. Laughing. Cheering. Shedding tears.

“Giving so freely all of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, theories, fan art, and fan fiction.

“Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga.

“Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help.

“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.

“Remember, Thanos still demands your silence. As always, good luck and happy viewing. The Russo Brothers.”

Reactions on Twitter have, so far, been glowingly positive.

Empire’s critic tweeted: “I’m still processing. And there’s a lot to process.

“But after taking time to put all the pieces in place, Avengers Endgame sticks the landing and then some.

“No spoilers from me — the official Empire verdict is due tomorrow — but the stones on this thing are seriously impressive.”

SlashFilm’s Peter Sciretta said: “Imagine the best possible version of Avengers Endgame and somehow the film still surpasses all expectations.

“I cried five to six times. It’s the most emotional, most epic, MCU film.

“A tribute to ten years of this universe and holy shit the great fan service in this movie. Soooo good.”
