Avengers Endgame tickets release date: Latest update from cinemas as hype continues

The all-star Marvel blockbuster is due out in less than a month – and fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to pre-book their tickets. Avengers: Infinity War’s tickets had already gone on sale by this point last year, leading many to wonder why Endgame’s haven’t just yet. It’s true that, on this unprecedented level of hype, it’s not like Marvel urgently needs to generate any bonus publicity. But when will tickets hit the market?

Sadly it seems to remain a mystery – and UK cinema chains have insisted they are none the wiser.

In fact, one was even unable to confirm if the April 25 release date in the UK means midnight screenings will occur on the Thursday or the Friday.

Vue replied to one fan on Twitter yesterday: “We know you’re excited for Avengers: Endgame! Please keep an eye on [the website] for updates at your local Vue, or check our social media.”

Odeon, similarly, told a moviegoer: “As soon as we know we’ll let everyone know too.”

One person asked Cineworld: “Hey @cineworld I’ve heard that Endgame is coming out on the 26th when all UK marketing is saying 25th? Is that true or have I been misinformed?

“Is this just a midnight showing or is it full showings?”

They replied: “No news on screenings as yet, we’ll announce as soon as we can.”

Express.co.uk has been assured that the film releases in the UK on Thursday, April 25 – meaning it’s hugely likely that the first screenings will be at midnight overnight on the Thursday (so overnight from Wednesday to Thursday).

Current fan theories suggest tickets will be on sale early next week, but the only possible hitch could be the release of DC’s Shazam! in the same window.

Still, does this guaranteed record-breaker really need to worry about stepping on a smaller film’s toes?

We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, it’s been rumoured that the film’s runtime has been confirmed – and it’s the longest MCU caper yet.

Avengers: Endgame is out on April 25 in the UK and April 26 in the US.
