Avengers Endgame time travel revelations you DIDN'T see – Details fans MISSED
According to Screen Rant, there are six deleted scenes which made it into Disney+’s version of Avengers: Endgame. Two of these contain details which reveal how the explanation of time travel in the Marvel movie changed over the course of the reshoots. One shows a previous version of Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo) and Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) discussing the concept, with the latter coming out with a strikingly familiar explanation.
“If you travel to the past from your present then that becomes your future and your former present becomes your past,” she says. “Therefore you cannot be altered by your new future.”
The line was later adopted by Hulk in the final cut, which sees him explain how time travel can impact on reality.
As the publication noted, this deleted scene changes what the Avengers knew before embarking on their time travel mission to save the universe.
While, in the final cut, the group presumably believed they might be able to prevent Thanos (Josh Brolin) from getting to the point he had by getting their hands on the Infinity Stones in the past, Ancient One’s remarks reveal this wouldn’t have been the case.

Had the scene made the cut, it would have impacted on the Avengers’ knowledge in the lead-up to time travelling.
The second sequence which was later reshot shows Hulk, Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) finishing work on the Quantum Realm suits.
It was later changed to show Ant-Man in the suit, leading on to the scene where Hulk explained how time travel works to the group in the final version.
Elsewhere, another deleted scene which was made available for the first time with the launch of Disney+ showed an emotional moment between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) and his daughter Morgan Stark.
Avengers Endgame: The scene was reshoot with Hulk later taking the line and passing on the explanation to the Avengers
Just moments after he snapped his fingers whilst wearing his makeshift Infinity Gauntlet, leading to the Avengers’ victory over Thanos, the scene showed him in the metaphysical Way Station, where he met an older version of Morgan (Kathryn Langford).
In the clip, Stark admitted to his daughter that putting on the Gauntlet “might have” been a bad idea, adding: “I’m scared I made a mistake.”
The poignant final farewell from father to daughter continued with her replying: “I know. And I know it’s going to be tough for you to let go, but if someone had to do that so the rest of us could [live]… I’m proud of you. I love you 3,000.”
The scene was cut oringally cut because it proved too complicated for test audiences, according to the Russo brothers, and ruined the pace of the emotional sequence of events.

A featurette featuring Marvel Studios’ casting director Sarah Finn also saw her explain how one decision could’ve changed the face of the MCU movies altogether.
In the documentary, Finn said Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt had originally auditioned for the role of Captain America.
Ultimately, they decided to cast Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, but the audition got Pratt on bosses radar and ended up leading to his part in the Guardians of the Galaxy films.
“James Gunn [Guardians of the Galaxy director] has been very generous about this in saying that I, to the point of annoying him, kept insisting that Chris Pratt was the guy for the part [of Star-Lord],” she said. “But Chris didn’t want to play the part and refused to audition.
“I finally got him to audition and James Gunn said he didn’t want to see him and that really was a challenge.”
Thankfully, both gave in in the end, with Finn adding: “I was really happy when I finally got them together and it was honestly one of the eureka moments that we talk about in casting when it absolutely feels right and you know it’s right.
“James turned to me within 10 seconds and said, ‘He’s the guy,’” she remembered.
