Avengers Infinity War death: Does spiderman die in Infinity War?

In what is likely to become one of the most emotional scenes in Marvel history, the band of Avengers on Thanos’ home planet of Titan feel the effects of the Infinity Gauntlet. 

Unaware of what Thanos has done, our heroes recuperate from their fight with the Mad Titan. Stark glances over at Doctor Strange, desperate to know why he was willing to trade away one of the most powerful stones for his life. 

Just as Strange begins to disintegrate, he sighs, saying: “It was the only way…”

Iron Man watches helplessly as his newly found friends disappear around him, including his prodigy, Peter Parker. 

Spider-man stumbles slightly: “I don’t feel so good Mr Stark. I don’t want to go, I don’t want to die Tony. I’m sorry Mr Stark,” before he slips away from in existence in Tony’s arms. 

The scene has wrenched the hearts out of many a Marvel fan, as the young Peter understands the full consequences of his relationship with Tony Stark and the Avengers.
