Avengers Infinity War DEATHS: [SPOILER] SURVIVED confirms director Joe Russo

WARNING SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS INFINITY WAR AHEAD

The Marvel epic did not hold back when it came to killing off some major characters.

However one character who didn’t appear saw their fate remain a mystery.

Remember at the start of Avengers Infinity War when Thanos and the Black Order are aboard the Asgardian refugee ship?

The first few shots saw corpses everywhere in a scene that featured Thor, Loki, the Hulk and Heimdall.

While Loki and Heimdall were murdered, the Hulk escaped back to Earth and Thor survived the whole ship being blown up.

But thinking back to the end of Thor Ragnarok, other big characters like Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Taika Waititi’s Korg were unaccounted for.

Were they killed?

Well in a scene later on in the movie Thor tells Rocket that half the Asgardian refugee ship were killed – but he didn’t specify survivors.

But now director Joe Russo has confirmed Valkyrie did in fact escape death.

Russo gave a Q&A at a high school in Iowa City and his most important answers were recorded by a Reddit user student.

Anewthrowaway_quest wrote: ‘He did confirm that Valkyrie lived.

“The Asgardians escaped on escape pods thus there are survivors of the refugees.”

So no doubt Thompson’s character will be appearing in Avengers 4, but what about the hilarious Korg?

The Reddit user added: “When asked about Korg (by me!) he wasn’t willing to say what his fate was.”

Having proven so popular in Thor Ragnarok, surely Korg will be back too?

Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
