The epic packed so much in with the ultimate superhero crossover, but not everyone quite made the final cut.

Avengers Infinity War director Joe Russo has revealed that Iron Man’s Happy Hogan, played by Favreau, saw his scene near the film’s beginning cut.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Russo revealed: “Oh yes!”

“There is a deleted scene where Jon Favreau/Happy and I make an appearance in the park.”

He continued: “The movie was really long and we were looking for places to pace it up in the opening and unfortunately that was one of the things we had to cut.

“But I was willing to cut my own cameo in the movie so it shows how much we really needed to get that park scene moving.

“It was also really hard to cut Jon as he is such a funny performer and we loved working with him.”

Nevertheless the deleted scene will appear on the home release of Avengers Infinity War.

The upcoming Avengers 4 aside, Joe has directed two other MCU movies. He had cameo roles in Captain America The Winter Solider and Civil War, so it’s a shame his Infinity War part didn’t make the final cut.

The Infinity War deleted scene sees Russo play Bert, a photographer who is trying to snap a picture of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts.

But Happy turns up in a golf buggy and has to usher him away.
