Avengers Infinity War: Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch reveals MASSIVE plot clue

The 41-year-old is currently on the world press tour for Avengers Infinity War and revealed something really rather intriguing.

While many of the Marvel epic’s huge cast haven’t read the whole secretive script, the Doctor Strange star has.

Last week Good Morning America asked who had during an interview with Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and Tom Holland.

The latter two pointed at Cumberbatch, before he explained why he had such a special privilege.

Cumberbatch said: “I had to just, sorta, understand what the context was.

“Strange has this wonderful role in it and I’m trying to, kinda, hold the multiverse together.

“So kinda needed to know what goes on in-between those brackets.”

The actor has now made further comments suggesting Doctor Strange and his abilities play a huge role in Avengers Infinity War.

Appearing on The Graham Norton show, which airs this evening, Cumberbatch teased the film’s plot.

He said: “I was allowed to read the whole script so I do know what is happening, but I can’t tell you about it.”

“What I can say is that I am helping the world and worlds beyond it – potentially.”

So what could he be talking about?

Well Screen Rant have pointed out Avengers Infinity War could feature multiple timelines across different universes.

This may explain why Hawkeye is missing and perhaps will see Doctor Strange use time travel and dimension manipulation to work out how to defeat Thanos.

With such a narrative, it will be quite easy to kill off major superheroes, only for them to be brought back later.
