Avengers Infinity War end credit scene: WATCH it here plus THAT Captain Marvel reveal

It was a lot to take in all at once.

No sooner had audiences been devastated by the deaths of numerous major characters (not to mention half of all life across the unvierse) than they were bombarded with the biggest shock of all.

The infamous end credit scene showed Nick Fury and Maria Hill viewing the chaos in New York as the Snap took effect. Fury frantically pulled out an ancient pager and tapped out a message before he, too, turned to dust.

That symbol appeared. What does it all mean? Watch it again right here next:

Most people left the cinema scratching their heads and even casual Marvel fans struggled to make the connection.

What was that symbol?

Now, of course, we know that it is the first teaser for Captain Marvel. But why did Fury call her now?

We know they both star in her upcoming solo movie, which is set in the 1990’s, so where has she been since then? Why didn’t he call her during previous attacks on Earth?

There are two major theories about where the missing hero has been.

Her standalone movie will feature the Kree-Skrulls war and almost certainly take her off planet at some point.

Has she been out somewhere in the universe? Did she discover something about Thanos and that is where she has been? Is that why Fury only called her when he knew Thanos had attacked?

But how has he known all this since the 1990’s?

With mounting rumours about time travel and alternate dimensions, it is likely that Fury and Marvel receive a message or even a visitor from the present time.

Although we now know Scott Lang is trapped in the Quanum Realm, and that there is a Time Vortex in there, he actually doesn’t know about Thanos or the Snap since that happened when he was already in there.

Who will tell Marvel and Fury about Thanos?
