Avengers Infinity War: Marvel Cinematic Universe movie RECAP in just 15 minutes – WATCH

For Marvel fans in the UK today is the day Avengers Infinity War is finally released.

But what if you’ve not seen all the movies or haven’t had time to re-watch them? After all, there are 18 from the last 10 years, all leading up to this epic.

Well luckily the clever folks at ArcadeCloud have put together three animated videos recapping the MCU to date.

This is especially helpful if you’re not familiar with the Marvel Phases 1-3, but don’t worry, it’s not as confusing as the X-Men timeline!

Marvel Phase 1 in order of release is: Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Avengers Assemble.

Marvel Phase 2: Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man

Marvel Phase 3 (so far): Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Spider-Man Homecoming Thor Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War.

So what’s next after Avengers Infinity War?

This summer sees Ant-Man and the Wasp released on August 3, before Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019 and Untitled Avengers 4 on April 26, 2019.

Since both solo outings are sandwiched between Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4, it’s presumed they will act as big clues to the events of the latter movie.

Avengers 4 not only closes Marvel Phase 3, but also Saga 1; Marvel Phases 1-3.

Meanwhile Saga 2 will kick off with Marvel Phase 4 with a sequel to Spider-Man Homecoming starring Tom Holland – set for release in summer 2019.

Other than that, the only Phase 4 movie confirmed is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, which is released in 2020 – probably around February or March.

While they’re not announced yet, Marvel boss Kevin Feige has teased plans for Doctor Strange 2 and Black Panther 2.

It’s also considered likely that Ant-Man 3, Spider-Man Homecoming 3 and Captain Marvel 2 will be on the horizon before Avengers 5 around 2022 or 2023.

And with Disney acquiring Fox, fans can expect the X-Men and Fantastic Four to enter the MCU at some point, but probably not until Phase 5.
