Avengers Infinity War: Thanos would have LOST if Avengers did THIS one thing?

Marvel‘s Avengers Infinity War didn’t exactly have an upbeat ending, but what if Thanos’ victory could have been prevented by one decision?

That’s what a new theory claims and the crucial point is apparently when Tony Stark and Doctor Strange were on Ebony Maw’s ship and having an argument.

Iron Man wanted to take the Time Stone to Titan and surprise Thanos, while the Sorcerer Supreme suggested returning to Earth to keep it hidden.

In the end they continued to Titan where Doctor Strange had to exchange the Time Stone for Tony Stark’s life.

Now Screen Rant argue that the Avengers could have won if they’d followed Doctor Strange’s advice and returned to Earth with the Time Stone.

They argue that with Iron Man, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man back on earth, the Avengers would be reunited together in Wakanda.

No doubt Steve and Tony would put their differences from Civil War aside for the sake of the universe.

Also they would now be defending not just Vision’s Mind Stone, but also Doctor Strange’s Time Stone.

Thanos would arrive in Wakanda with four, not five Infinity Stones and presumably Star-Lord wouldn’t have got in the way like when they almost removed the Gauntlet from Thanos on Titan.

Of course the Guardians could have made it to Earth too, but maybe Peter Quill wouldn’t of had a chance to be in the way as Thor, Rocket and Groot arrive with Stormbreaker – completing the Avengers’ unity.

The theory also points out that Shuri probably would have had enough time to remove the Mind Stone from Vision’s forehead and destroy it.

And here’s the key: Thanos wouldn’t have the Time Stone to reverse this as he did in Avengers Infinity War.
