Avengers theory: Marvel Phases 4 and 5 set across MULTIVERSE leading to Secret Wars movie

The MCU’s Infinity Saga (made up of Marvel Phases 1-3) concluded with Spider-Man Far From Home this summer. And now the billion-dollar franchise is continuing forward without Avengers Endgame leads like Iron Man and Captain America. Starting with next summer’s Black Widow prequel, Marvel Phases 4 and 5 will be a mixture of movies and Disney Plus shows. And now a popular new fan theory reckons they’ll be set across the multiverse leading to a Secret Wars movie.

Reddit user alldaygaming247 argues: “So lets start off with Thor 4. What has been indicated so far is that Jane Foster will be using Mjolnir as Thor.

“This of course is impossible, since at the end of Endgame Cap brought Mjolnir back in its proper time.

“This is evidence this may not be the same universe. Now I know its small, but its something.

“Lets jump to Falcon and Winter Soldier. It has been reported Sam Wilson isn’t gonna be Captain America in the series, which means something isn’t right.

“Also Bucky goes by White Wolf now, so that more evidence.

“WandaVision is clearly the most timeline breaking and plot hole creating one out of all of these”

They added: “Vision is dead, there is no way this will be the same timeline as everything else in the MCU.

“It is known Doctor Strange 2 will dabble in the idea of the multiverse, the title says it all alone.

“My theory is that in the Multiverse of Madness Scarlet Witch might somehow break the multiverse or do something that opens up portals between universes, leading to a Secret Wars movie.”

Certainly, WandaVision has been confirmed as a precursor to Scarlet Witch’s involvement in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness so there could be something to this theory.

While the Loki and What If…? series are both set across different universes.

Fans will know Secret Wars as a Marvel Comics storyline which saw the destruction of the Marvel Universe and other alternate realities.

Each universe’s Earth combined into Battleworld, a planet that combines different aspects of the various dimensions.

Different versions of the same Marvel characters were able to exist at the same time on Battleworld.

This included many incarnations of Thor acting as a peace-keeping force.

Since Thor: Love and Thunder will see at least two, perhaps a Secret Wars movie could very well be on the way.
