The beginning of the year is the time for the film industry to come together for various awards ceremonies. We have already seen the outcome of the Golden Globes, and next up with have the BAFTAs, followed by the Oscars. But for those not close to a TV set, is there a way to watch the awards online?
Can you watch the BAFTAs online?

Who is going to win at the BAFTAs?
According to OddsChecker, most bookies seem to have 1917 as the most likely winner of the Outstanding British Film Award.
Coming in with slightly lower chances is Rocketman, The Two Popes and Bait, the latter of which being an indie film which shocked filmmakers when screenings continually sold out, and it eventually gained a greater distribution deal as a result.
The Best Picture odds are similar, with 1917 looking most likely, followed up by recent London Critics’ Circle Award winner Parasite.
Sadly things don’t look as good for Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, which is sitting at 73/5 on Betfair, and similarly low numbers elsewhere.

Of course, the Best Actor and Best Actress awards are looking likely to go to the pair of who have been taking out a huge number of awards already: Joaquin Phoenix and Renee Zellweger.
They are sitting at 1/10 and 1/6 respectively to take home the award, while Sam Mendes is sitting at 1/10 odds to take home the Best Director gong for 1917.
Of course, things can always change, but the likelihood is the BAFTAs will be a good indicator for later awards shows.
The BAFTAs takes place on Sunday, February 2, from 9pm
*Odds correct as of January 31
