Batman SHOCK: Does THIS set video prove Dark Knight cameos in Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie?
The 43-year-old star is currently shooting his Joker solo movie, which is set in 1980s Gotham.
And while Batman isn’t expected to appear, just as Spider-Man didn’t in Venom, a new set video may prove otherwise.
The footage captured in Newark, New Jersey showed the Batmobile being transported for filming.
However this isn’t a modern one like Ben Affleck’s in Justice League, no, it’s the Adam West 1960s TV show original Batmobile.
Such a vehicle seems an odd addition to the tone of the gritty new Joker movie.
Perhaps it’s more of an Easter Egg for fans rather than an actual nod that Batman will feature.
Nevertheless, we do know that Batman’s father Thomas Wayne is in Joker.
Played by Brett Cullen, the billionaire will be running for Gotham mayor.
During the summer The Superhero News Show shared a rumour based on two different sources associated with Warner Bros.
The insiders claim there are discussions on-going to combine the Batman and Joker solo movies.
Forbes writer Mark Hughes said: “I think Joaquin Phoenix is playing the Joker in a standalone film, that will possibly wind up not being standalone as the situation evolved with the solo Batman movies and the future of the DCEU shapes up.
“I haven’t heard anything firm, but I’ve heard certainly whispers from several people that I’ve talked to about that project.”
Joker will be released in UK cinemas on October 4, 2019.
