Blade Runner star Sean Young is wanted by police in New York after allegedly being caught stealing laptops.

The actress and a man were seen on CCTV taking two Apple laptops and video production software from a store in the Queens area of New York on Thursday.

The items are said to be worth about $12,000 (£9,400).

Employees at the store reported the incident to police and Young – who found fame when she appeared opposite Harrison Ford in Ridley Scott’s 1982 cult classic – is now wanted for burglary.

The 58-year-old was most recently seen on the big screen in the long-awaited sequel Blade Runner 2049.

But it was only her likeness that was used, with special effects allowing for a stand-in to appear as Young exactly as she looked in the original film.

Young also starred in No Way Out and Wall Street. She recently appeared in The Alienist on US television network TNT.

She was arrested outside an Oscars party in 2012 after she was accused of slapping a security guard.
