Bohemian Rhapsody SING-A-LONG screenings announced for UK cinemas – Here’s when and where
Last year The Greatest Showman made $434 million worldwide, partly thanks to its sing-a-long screenings bringing audiences back in their droves. Now Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody is following in its footsteps from January 11 in UK cinemas. Vue, Everyman, Cineworld and Showcase cinemas are leading the charge of Queen sing-a-longs across the nation’s capital. The screenings will simultaneously take place at 8pm in a couple of Fridays time.
So far the movie and Freddie star Rami Malek have been nominated for Golden Globes and SAG awards.
But what are the chances that Malek could win Best Actor at the Oscars?
Well according to Betfred he’s the 3-1 joint second-favourite alongside Christian Bale’s Dick Cheney for Vice.
Meanwhile, Ladbrokes have shortened Malek’s odds down to 7-2 from 5-1.
The one to beat, however, is Bradley Cooper for A Star Is Born.
Nevertheless, Malek and Bale have something of an advantage in playing real people.
Often the Academy goes for the star who played a historical figure.
Gary Oldman won for Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour last year, while previous winners include Sir Daniel Day-Lewis’ Abraham Lincoln and Colin Firth’s King George VI.
